In spite of the drought, the fog rolled in, wrapping The Mountain is a magical mist. It was as if we were on the Isle of Avalon. |

The new "Queens of Myself" after the Institute workshop with
Mama Donna Henes.
|

Donna Henes, creator and author of Queen of Myself: Stepping into Sovereignty in Midlife, joined us for Fall Institute, leading us in a day-long transformational workshop packed with ritual knowledge, practical wisdom, chanting and ceremony. Mama Donna is an Urban Shaman from Exotic Brooklyn who introduced us to The Queen, her concept for an inspirational new archetype for women in charge.

By Friday, the rain had cleared, the sun was out and you could see for miles and miles.
This is the spectacular view from the Lodge deck. Beth Flanagan is taking a short break from taking all these wonderful pictures for us (Thank you, Beth) and got a friend to capture her with all the glorious fall color.
Womenspirit is a time to take a breath in the beauty of The Mountain, meet new friends, and catch up with old ones. |

At womenspirit, there is always time for Sacred Shopping. Artists and independent shop owners are encouraged to bring their wares. This is an especially safe place for a new artist to test the waters, so to speak. And more that a few of us have gone on to sell our artistic creations to the larger market off The Mountain.
You never know what you'll find, from fragrant handmade soap that makes your skin feel like a new born's to exquisite hand wrought jewelry. All from the creative women of Womenspirit.

Happy customers Nancy Hagman and Rose Coon, after purchasing one of Kate Wolverton's incredible cement leaves. Will it be a fountain or at the bottom of a down spout? Or possibly a bird feeder? |

Kate and Nancy. |
Womenspirit is an all volunteer organization and all of us do our part one way or another. There are, however, some very special women who give so very much of their talents and time. Lea Close has been the treasurer on the Coordinating Council (CoCo) for almost six years. The normal term is three years. So Thank you Lea, for all you time, hard work and dedication to Womenspirit. You are a Queen among many.

Saturday evening, after worship, there is always cabaret. Fun is had by all preparing the acts and getting to watch. |

Nancy Hagman was our wild and wonderful MC this year. |

The audience was thoroughly entertained as Betty Brown regaled them with a routine about her annual visit to the GYN (can't we all relate?) and Rosann Kent told stories on her little sister Joy, a long time member of Women spirit. |

Fairie Elaine Silver lead everyone in a hilarious song. |

The "Nacha Mamas" Planning Committee (PC) went out with a roar, while the last group lead us into Drumming and Dancing, the Saturday night finale. |
